Biodiversity

Third and Fourth Class were delighted to win a selection of native Irish trees through Biodiversity Ireland. Today, with the wonderful support of Hugh and Michael from Riverstown Tidy Towns, the children planted their new trees in both the Folk Park and the Community Park. The species included hazel, rowan, oak, hawthorn and ash. We look forward to watching them grow and caring for them over the coming years as part of our ongoing commitment to biodiversity.
