Our class is delighted to have been selected to take part in the BLAST Arts in Education Residency this year. We are working with artist Sarah Lundy, who will be with us for five weeks. Sarah has a wonderful passion for nature, which immediately captured the children’s interest. Each week, she will guide the classes in exploring a different aspect of the natural world through art. During our introductory session, the children examined and sketched fossils, created beautiful fern‑leaf rubbings, and were fascinated to meet one of Sarah’s most unusual childhood treasures – a taxidermy bird she received for her seventh birthday.
