Blast Day 4 was all about birds and our third “B” theme. The children explored a fascinating collection of taxidermy birds, including Percy the pheasant, a barn owl, a long‑eared owl and even a swan. We sketched feathers from different perspectives, created 3D owls using recycled materials, tried drawing an owl with our eyes closed to appreciate their nocturnal nature, produced striking swan artwork using black paper and chalk, and sculpted our own swans from clay. It was a fantastic, hands‑on day of creativity and discovery. We’re already looking forward to our final session next week.
